University of Isfahan and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Establish Strategic Collaboration in Apicultural Research

The University of Isfahan (UI) and the Institute of Apicultural Research at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (IAR-CAAS) have formally agreed to launch a strategic research collaboration in the field of apiculture. This initiative brings together two leading institutions with complementary expertise in honeybee science, environmental sustainability, and agricultural innovation.

Located in Beijing, IAR-CAAS is internationally recognized for its contributions to honeybee biology, pollination services, bee health, and honey production technologies. The University of Isfahan, as one of Iran’s top comprehensive research universities, plays a prominent role in advancing interdisciplinary research and innovation across a wide range of scientific and technological domains.

This collaboration seeks to create a robust platform for joint research, capacity building, and the exchange of scientific knowledge in apiculture. By leveraging the strengths of both institutions, the initiative will contribute to:

advancing the science and sustainable practice of beekeeping in China and Iran,

improving pollinator health and biodiversity conservation,

and promoting environmentally responsible agricultural development.

This initiative is part of the University of Isfahan’s broader strategy to expand its international academic footprint through targeted partnerships with world-class research institutions.
