University of Isfahan and Transylvania University of Romania Launch Joint Program for International Students

The University of Isfahan (UI) and Transylvania University of Romania (TU) have partnered to create a joint academic program targeting international students. The initiative was announced following a strategic meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2025, where Dr. Mohammad Amiriyousefi, Director of UI’s International Scientific Cooperation Office, met with senior TU officials to strengthen academic and educational ties between the two institutions.
Under the agreement, Transylvania University will lead the development of the program, which will allow international students to begin their studies in Romania before transferring to the University of Isfahan to complete their education. This innovative structure aims to offer students a diverse, cross-cultural academic experience.
The collaboration extends beyond student recruitment, encompassing joint research projects, faculty exchanges, and seasonal schools. These efforts are intended to promote knowledge sharing, encourage interdisciplinary research, and deepen academic connections between Iran and Romania.
This partnership supports the University of Isfahan’s internationalization strategy, which emphasizes global partnerships, cultural exchange, and enhanced mobility for students and faculty. Through such initiatives, UI seeks to raise its academic standards, enrich the perspectives of its community, and contribute meaningfully to global education.
